Mr. Stoupnitzky joined EarlyBirdCapital in 2019 as a Director in Investment Banking and Head of Business Development. From 2016 to 2019, he served as the Senior Independent Director and member of the Audit & Nominating Committees at Eland Oil & Gas Plc. (AIM: ELA). Eland was successfully merged with Seplat Energy Plc. (LSE: SEPL) in late 2019. Mr. Stoupnitzky served as a Director of Twelve Seas Investment Company from 2018 until the completion of its business combination in December of 2019 with Brooge Holdings Ltd., a UAE-based oil storage company (NASDAQ: BROG). From 2018 until 2019, Mr. Stoupnitzky served as Advisory Director for Innolith AG, a Swiss-based private energy technology company. He previously served in various executive roles with Azonto Petroleum Limited (ASX: APY) and Vioco Petroleum. Mr. Stoupnitzky held senior positions with Morgan Stanley, Bear Stearns and Renaissance Capital in London, Moscow and New York. Most of his investment banking experience focused on energy and natural resource companies with operating assets across emerging markets including Latin America, the Commonwealth of Independent States and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Mr. Stoupnitzky is an Adjunct Professor at the School of International Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University, where he lectures on the energy transition. He is also a member of SIPA’s Advisory Board and holds both a BA and MA from Columbia, as well as a certificate from Moscow State University.
